Measuring for Custom Garments:
Never measure yourself by own.Get someone to help you.
Wear a tight short / underwear or base layer. If short or base layeris not tight, pull up them up to fit snug in the crotch area (important for all measurements below the waist).Empty your pockets if any. Do not take measurements in loose fitting shorts / Jeans. If you do, it will create a problem with proper dimensions. The whole idea behind a custom RAMOTO racing suit is building a perfect suit to fit YOUR body.
Pull tape measure snugand record your true measurements while measuring. please explain any special circumstances on a separate note below in additional information box. For example, please advise if: you are a bodybuilder; you have any physical conditions we should be aware of. If you will be wearing special armour / protector, body armour or back protectors.Please explain below in additional information box and provide measurements with the armour / protectorson that you will be wearing under the new leather suit.
Always stand up straight and look forward while your measurements are being taken. Never look down at the person doing the measurement as this will greatly affect the accuracy.
1) To start taking the measurements now, you will need 1 piececord / stringto fasten tightly around the navel. Make sure that the cord / string does not move accidentally up or down during the measuring process at navel and horizontally aligned to the body.
2) pieces cord / string to pass under the both armpits. It is very important that they are perfectly vertical to the body.
3) Mark at the center of collar bones for accurate measurement.
4) Mark on the base of the neck.
5) Mark on the wrist bone
6) Mark on the top of elbow
7) Mark at the center of knee
8) mark on the center of ankle bone
All Measurements must be taken in centimetres (cm)
All measurements are required to tailor your best fittings.
Do not take your own measurements. Measurements must be taken by a second person.
Please make sure that the person takes your exact body measurements and he does not leave extra inches loose.
When Measuring, stand tall with your muscles relaxed and feet together.
Don't trust your memory, be sure to write the measurements.
When measuring, apply constant pressure to the tape (so it doesn't sag) without pinching the skin.
Please follow the instructions carefully and take the measurements exactly as shown in photos.
1) Neck Circumference: Measure collar below Adam’s apple
2) Chest Circumference: Position the tape measure underneath the armpits being careful to measure the largest part of the chest. Female measurements should include the most extended part of the breasts
3) Lower Chest: (thinnest part of waist) Position the tape measure at the lowest point of the breast bone (thinnest part of waist)
4) Waist at navel Circumference: Waistline for all measurements is located at your navel. Measure exactly as shown - at thenavel.
5) Hip Circumference: measure around center of hip at widest point around hip
6) Shoulder to Shoulder – High: measure from top of shoulder across back from sleeve joint to sleeve joint
7) Neck to Shoulder: Measure from neck base to end of sleeve joint
8) Sleeve Length: measure from top of shoulder bone to wrist exactly as shown in picture
9) leeve Joint Circumference: Position the tape measure in exactly the same point where the cord was previously placed ( be careful that the arms hang down the side of the body and that the tape measure is tight against the body )
10) Elbow to wrist: measure from elbow point to wrist
11) Bicep Circumference: measure at widest point around bicep
12) Elbow Circumference: Measure around arm at elbow
13) Wrist Circumference: measure at widest point around wrist
14) Neck to Waist – Back: On the back side, measure from base of neck to the waistband (on top of elastic cord).Remember, the elastic cord must remain at your navel.
15) Vertical Torso circumference: Measure from shoulder at neck, down to crotch, underneath and back to the starting point.
16) Front waistline to back waistline: Measure from front waistline (at navel), under the crotch to the rear waistline.
17) Seated: Sit on a flat tableand make sure that the cord around the waist is still at navel height and horizontal to the body. Keeping the back straight measure from the waist cord down to the table.
18) Thigh Circumference: Measure thigh at 10 cm below groin.
19) Knee Circumference: Position the tape measure around the knee starting from the center of the knee cap
20) Calf Circumference: Position the tape measure around the largest point of the calf muscle.
21) Ankle Circumference: Position the tape measure just above the ankle bone
22) Groin to ankle: Position the tape measure at the highestpoint of the groin, then extend the tape measure downto the center of the inside ankle bone
23) Groin to center of knee: Position the tape measure at the highest point of the groin, then extend the tape measure downto the center of the inside knee.
24) Vertical Chest: Make sure that the cord around the waist is still at navel height and horizontal to the body, extend the tape measure from the front neck mark to the front waist cord being careful that the tape measure stays flat against the body.
25) Waist to kneecap: Make sure that the cord around the waist is still at navel height and horizontal to the body, extend the tape measure from cord at navel to the center of kneecap.
26) Waist to ankle (Outside Leg): Making sure that the cord around the waist fully lined up with the navel and horizontal to the body. Then extend the tape measure from the cord (at navel) down to the outside of the ankle bone.
27) Knee to ankle: Measure from center of knee cap to the top of ankle bone.
28) Neck to ankle: Make sure that you stand straight, now measure from neck at shoulder down to the top of ankle bone.
29) Neck to Knee: Make sure that you stand straight, now measure from neck at shoulder down to the center of knee cap. As shown in picture.
30) Total height: Measure your total height in centimetres.
